Lonni Inman’s lecture-concert “Flute X Historical” answers these and many more questions. She is an experienced flutist and instructor living in Hamburg, Germany. Her presentation delves back into the past to explain apprehensibly and humorously how her instrument developed from the Renaissance to the present.

Ms. Inman plays works from the past and current centuries on six different flutes. Her musical examples are played historically informed and are enhanced by illustrations and historical dress.
